6ix9ine’s “DUMMY BOY” Beats Out Travis Scott’s “Astroworld” By 200 Units

Billboard has confirmed that has the number one album in the country, outselling by less than 200 units.

Earlier this week, Scott claimed the number one spot due to an error by Nielsen. Billboard the released a statement, saying:

“The results of the Billboard 200 chart dated Dec. 8, which was announced on Sunday (Dec. 2), are being audited by Nielsen Music due to a processing discrepancy. Upon completion of the in-depth audit of data sources across streaming and retail, Billboard will announce any resulting changes that may affect chart rankings.”

Hits Daily Double also reported that Soundcloud is allegedly reported their streaming data late, and that “the streams that would’ve gone to 6ix9ine were disallowed by [Billboard].”

A Nielsen rep stated” “Our team has done a deep dive and found the cause of the initial discrepancy. We’ve since then reprocessed the jobs necessary and re-finalized the charts. As a result, 6ix9ine’s will be moving to #1.”

This is the first time such an error has ever occurred. But everybody was already expecting 6ix9ine to have the top album in the country long before it was ever released.
