Ashley Judd’s S*xual Harassment Case Against Harvey Weinstein Dismissed

Hollywood actress has had her sexual harassment case against dismissed by a judge.

The federal judge ruled that Judd and Weinstein did not “have a relationship that fell within the law.”

The judge did rule that Judd could move ahead with her defamation claim that Weinstein sabotaged her career.

Judd alleged that she was “blackballed” after she refused his advances.

Her lawsuit reads: “Weinstein used his power in the entertainment industry to damage Ms Judd’s reputation and limit her ability to find work.”

Despite being accused by more than 75 women of sexual misconduct, Weinstein has only been charged with five counts of sexual abuse, including rape by two women.

“While we respectfully disagree with the Court’s decision as to the one claim it ruled on today, we look forward to pursuing the three claims for relief that the Court has already ruled can move forward,” Judd’s lawyer Theodore Boutrous said.

Weinstein’s lawyer, Phyllis Kupferstein was pleased with the decision:

“We have said from the beginning that this claim was unjustified, and we are pleased that the court saw it as we did,” she said in a statement.

“We believe that we will ultimately prevail on her [Ms Judd’s] remaining claims.”
