January 11, 2018: A 19-year-old Georgia woman named Savanna Marie Jennings and 2 friends have been arrested and #charged with murdering Savana’s 86-year-old #grandfather and concealing his remains.
Police found the body of Otha Perrin, 86, in a shallow pond on private property off Wahatchee Creek Road, the AJC.com reports.
Perrin’s granddaughter, initially denied knowing his whereabouts. She finally broke down under questioning and revealed where she and 2 friends concealed his remains.
Perrin had been reported missing by his granddaughter, according to police.
Another family member told the sheriff’s office “something isn’t right” shortly before Jennings broke down and admitted she lied.
Jennings, of Elbert County, and William David Peterson, 19, of Athens, are charged with #murder, aggravated assault and concealing a death, according to AJC.com.
Jennings lived in a home with her grandfather on Pearl Mill Road. She reported him missing on Sunday.
Dakota Scott Street, 18, of Elbert County, was only charged with concealing the death of another, Sheriff Melvin Andrews said in a news release obtained by the AJC.
