Domestic Violence Charge Dropped Against Reuben Foster

The Florida State Attorney’s Office has dropped a domestic violence charge against Washington linebacker, .

The charge stemmed from an incident back in Nov when Foster’s ex, Elissa Ennis claimed that he slapped a phone out of her hand, “pushed her in the chest area, and slapped her with an open hand on the left side of her face.” Officers called to the scene found evidence of a 1 inch scratch on Ennis’ face.

“I felt like they didn’t believe me,” Ennis told GMA following the incident. “Even when I called the police, the 49ers came up there—I have pictures of the 49ers coming up there, trying to talk to the police and say I’m the same ex-girlfriend that [sat] up there and lied.”

Foster was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery in November and was released by the San Francisco 49ers but was scooped up just three days later by Washington.

The state’s attorney released the following statement:

“We take allegations of domestic violence very seriously and thoroughly investigated this case. After a meticulous review of the facts of the case, there was insufficient evidence to move forward with filing charges.”
