Take heed, Bachelor couples of the future. Take heed.
You may be blissfully in love and content beyond your wildest dreams right now (or not, based on last night's After the Final Rose special).
In any case, even in the very best of romantic circumstances, love is often a losing game on The Bachelor, and for no fault of your own.
Time passes. Life happens. Love – and fame – fades.
That sounds cynical, we know. But it's also factual. The Bachelor stars have not had the best track record when it comes to love lasting.
How bad is it? Simply by virtue of being together a year later, Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins ranked among the biggest success stories.
And they just broke up! That says it all right there.
Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi broke up after not even half that length of time after a relationship many felt was doomed from day one.
Will any couple make it to the altar again?!
The jury's still out on that, to say the least. Check out the full Bachelor relationship rankings by length and see how bad the odds are …
