On March 14th, 2018, Page Six reported that Donald Trump Jr. and his wife of more than a decade, Vanessa Trump, were having “marital problems” and likely “headed for divorce.” The next day, the Trumps announced they were indeed separating via a joint statement issued to the very same publication.
“After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways,” the statement said. “We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.”
According to TMZ sources, Vanessa filed the legal documents “seeking an uncontested proceeding,” which the tab suggests is an indication that the power couple had a strong prenuptial agreement in place.
